HOW TO BLEND INTO A NATURAL ENVIROMENT according to collectively written texts on internet
1. Assess your environment, what color is it mostly? How loud or quiet is it? Is it still or is it moving? Consider these factors that will affect how you blend in.
2. Blend visually, this depends a lot on the place. Clothing that matches your surroundings work well as does grey, a neutral color that doesn't draw the eye.
3. Try to cover yourself with that which surrounds you, not immediately around you (because people will notice it's missing). Unless everything is moving stay still and get close to the ground or high up.
4. Blend audibly, stay quiet and let the surrounding sounds drown out whatever sounds you make. Move slowly to reduce your noise and not draw attention.
5. Alter your scent to match that of your environment. This is often hard to achieve. Using mud or strong smelling plants can help. Make sure your are not active enough to sweat and smell. Relieve yourself far from where you plan to blend in.
6. Alter your texture to match your environment. This is mostly done when blending in visually but can be increased with soil, sand, leaves, stones etc.
7. Blend in mentally, this is the hardest of all. Make your state of mind calm and relaxed, don't think about hiding but about the place your hiding in. Animals can feel this much more than people can.
NOTE! The pictures above is not an illustration of the text, or opposite.
The relationship between text and pictures is more complicated than that.
Most blending took place inside. Passersbys obviously noticed us.
