And hear you scream my name (scream my name)
Wanna copy me and do exactly as I did?
Oh, na, na, what's my name?
Oh, na, na, what's my name?
Oh, na, na, what's my name?
Oh, na, na, what's my name?
Oh, na, na, what's my name?
What's my name? what's my name?

Give me a sign to light my way
Say my name, say my name
If no one is around you, say baby I love you
If you ain't runnin' game
Say my name, say my name
You actin' kinda shady, ain't callin' me baby
Better say my name
My name is Drottninggatan
Drottninggatan is one of the most common streetnames in Sweden, every city with dignity has a Drottninggatan = A Queen´s Road. Many of them are central streets that have an important history. When Sweden got its first and only female monarch Queen Kristina in 1632 the name suddenly became very popular. Before that there were no Drottninggatans at all.
Drottninggatan in Gothenburg is a 800m long street in the oldest part of the city. It used to be named S:t Jacobs street after the Saint Jacob of Holland, later renamed Holländaregatan = The Street of Dutchman before it turned into Drottninggatan in 1666.
Drottninggatan in Stockholm is a 1500m long street. It is one of three very old roads towards the Old Town of Stockholm (the north one). It was covered with stone already in 1641. During 1830ies Drottninggatan was the focus of shopping and entertainment, the first hotel of Stockholm was opened here and the street was called Snobbrännan = The Channel of Snobs. Later the banques and palaces came. In the 60ies much of the old living quaters were destroyed and the shopping and offices took over. Today Drottninggatan many consider Drottninggatan as a Tourist trap.
