We're at the club, dancing.
We didn't want to spend money putting away our things in the wardrobe, or it existed no such option. We have valuable stuff with us. Computers, cameras and mobile phones. If we would loose it, we would loose parts of our selves.
We make a pile in the middle of our group. We stand around the bags and jackets. We move, but we can never step over the pile to get closer to each other, cause we can't leave our belonging unprotected. The ring is static. We can move to the sides and we can sometimes spin around ourselves, but not everyone at the same time. Someone has to have focus on our valuables.
How often do you go to town without any belongings? When do you leave your door without wallet or mobile phone? How often have you walked in the city without carrying a bag? What happens to your body? What restrictions does it give you? What possibilities does the belongings activate that makes up for it?
Let's skip the belongings. Don't bring a bag, leave breakable/stealable things behind. Will it be worth it? Will it be worth not being able to call, text or buy? Enabling the economic system, or disconnecting in some way from the economic value by leaving those object-relationships behind.
When do we find situations where we trust the surroundings? When we leave our bag in the corner and feel safe. When everything is still there when we get it again. How often is it worth to test?

I rarely leave home or get to walk with nothing hanging from my body. I often think of this as i go about my day…. how much stuff i lug around just in case… it is indeed a rare gift to myself to move about unencumbered by bags.
as for trusting to leave belongings in a corner… this i still do. i have never been disappointed. I don't live in the city.
